Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park and Ziwa Rhino Tracking
Your trip will start as soon as your group is picked up by our driver from Kampala or Entebbe. While enjoying your 234 kilometer journey, you will see beautiful scenes comprising nature and engaging urban and peri-urban settlements. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of witnessing unique cultural and everyday experiences of Ugandans. You will stop at Ziwa Rhinos and Wildlife Ranch where tracking the southern white rhinos is done. Track and watch these amazing species that belong to the Big 5 before proceeding to Murchison Falls NP.
Have enroute lunch and continue towards your lodge inside Murchison Falls National Park. As you drive inside the park you will see plenty of animals. Chances of seeing the other 4 members of the Big five are high. These are lions, leopards, buffaloes and elephants. However, you are also presented with great views of giraffes, hartebeests, oribis, warthogs, hyenas, olive baboons and others. Check in at your lodge and relax in the swimming pool or balcony of your lodge. All of you will have dinner and spend the night here.
Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise in the Afternoon
This second day is just as exciting, if not more. This is because you will head to the northern sector of the park for an early morning game drive. While doing this, you will spot lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, Jackson’s hartebeests, cape buffaloes, waterbucks, olive baboons and others. While watching these big mammals, do not miss to see the so many bird species around you as well. Chances are high that you will spot the Abyssinian ground hornbills, Egyptian geese, African cuckoos, marabou storks and hooded vultures etc.
Return to the lodge because you will need to refresh and eat lunch as well, before going for a boat cruise. This also offers another relaxing moment where you are driven in a motorboat on the Nile River towards Murchison Falls. Besides offering you a unique perspective of the park, you will spot crocodiles, hippos, egrets, red-billed storks and long-crested eagles etc. You will reach quite nearer to the Murchison Falls and capture beautiful photos. Return to your lodge for another dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Drive to Kampala/Entebbe. Departure
Have a leisurely breakfast and check out of the lodge to start your scenic journey back to Kampala. Enroute lunch for all of you is a guarantee during your return journey. In Kampala you will arrive on time to be dropped off at your accommodation or Entebbe Airport for your departure flight.
