Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Begin your journey with a drive to western Uganda through the busy, scenic zones until Queen Elizabeth National Park, with a quick en route lunch. Settle into your lodge by evening in time for dinner and retire to rest.
Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise
A cockcrow, reset for a hot, delicious breakfast to energize you for the day’s activities. Head out to seek wildlife in their natural environment in your pop-up roof safari vehicle on a game drive. Expect to spot a vast population of wildlife species like buffaloes, Uganda kobs, hyenas, warthogs, lions, leopards, elephants, waterbucks, and also many bird species. Hours pass quickly, and before you know it, you will be heading for lunch back at your lodge.
The afternoon brings about interesting activities, and among them is a boat cruise experience. This experience uncovers the aquatic life of the park. Visitors can spot various animals like hippos and crocodiles, the residents of the deep waters. Day 3: Ishasha game drive en route to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Your third day kicks off with a delicious breakfast at your lodge before check-out. Drive south through the Ishasha region of the park and enjoy a quick game drive. This is the land of the tree-climbing lions, which can be spotted hanging out on the large fig tree branches. Spot other animals like topis, waterbucks, buffaloes, etc. Continue with your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with a quick stopover for an en route lunch. Arrive at dusk at your booked lodge for dinner and rest for the night ahead.
Day 4: Gorilla trekking and Batwa experience
This day is probably the most adventurous and is started by a delicious breakfast. Set out to the park headquarters with your packed lunch for a pre-trekking briefing. Gorilla trekking is an adventurous activity to encounter mountain gorillas but also sensitive and thus preparation is important. This briefing prepares you for this activity and walks you through the specifics, like the dos and don’ts of this activity, plus the expected code of conduct. You are then arranged in groups of 8 people and assigned a gorilla family. Each gorilla family is tracked by 8 people a day. Rangers then guide you into the impenetrable forest for a walk to remember. Traverse the uneven terrain and dense foliage to reach the endangered mountain gorillas.
After encountering them, your hour with them will begin to count down. Enjoy this exclusive time with the gorilla as they go unbothered by your presence. Capture enough pictures and videos, as these moments are quite special. Return to the starting point and unite with your driver. You can enjoy your delicious packed lunch in the forest away from the primates, or if the trek is short, have it upon your return to the car.
Experience the Batwa pygmies on a community visit after your forest encounter with the gorillas. These border the park and are considered the forest keepers. The Batwa people lived in the forest for a while before being forced out for the establishment of the park. Witness the survival skills that helped them during their time in the forest. Enjoy their cultural dances and songs as they bid you farewell. Return to the lodge and relax for the remaining evening until dinner, and later rest for the night ahead.
Day 5: Departure
The final day of your 5 days wildlife and gorillas tour is a day for departure. Check out immediately after your heavy breakfast and travel back to the capital. Drive through the beautiful terraced hills. Enjoy your ride as you meander across the roads that wind around the hills. The en route lunch will be served midway through your journey. Arrive later at Entebbe International Airport before your flight.
